Does my wall need replastering?

Cracks, crumbling patches or plaster coming away from the wall are reasons to have it checked. The condition of the existing plaster determines whether individual areas need repairing or more extensive replastering is required.

If the plaster is sound but the surface is rough or uneven, wall skimming may be suitable.

Loose or blown plaster

“Blown” or “boss” plaster describes plaster that has lost its bond with the surface beneath it. We can assess the affected area and advise on the repair needed before decorating.
